Yvonne O Preliasco

GARDNER - Yvonne O. (Cormier) Preliasco, 99 of Gardner, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at home. She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on May 10, 1921, the daughter of the late Clarence and the late MaryJane (Belliveau) Cormier. Yvonne worked for 5 years as a secretary for Heywood Wakefield. She and her husband also volunteered at Wachusett Manor Nursing Home for many years. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Holy Family League of Charity. She was also a member of the Emblem Club and the local AARP. Yvonne enjoyed dancing, ice skating, roller skating and going on cruises. She leaves two sons, Alan Preliasco of Marlborough, Richard Preliasco and his wife, Christine of N. Kingstown, RI; four grandsons, Robert of Austin, TX, Gregory of Cumberland, RI, Jeremy of Walpole, and Evan of Medfield; four great grandchildren, Desmond, Adrienne, Lyra and Aiden; one sister, Fern Darling of Santa Monica CA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Roderick Preliasco who passed in 2018; by two brothers, Dan Cormier, Jeffrey Cormier; and by four sisters, Virginia Vaillancourt, Florence Trifilo, Muriel Basilio; Irene Cormier.
