Roger J. Mayer

LEOMINSTER - Roger J. Mayer, 83 of Leominster, died Monday, February 22, 2021 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester. He was born in Fitchburg, on March 30, 1937, the son of the late Fortunat Mayer and the late Georgiana (Pouliot) Mayer. Roger graduated from Fitchburg High School. He was a barber for many years and also worked at Salvadore Auto in Gardner. Mr. Mayer was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. He leaves his wife 62 years, Paulette M. (Bolduc) Mayer; two children, Lynn Mayer, David Mayer; two grandchildren, Daniel and Brianna; one sister, Jeannine Jeffrey and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Claire Pins, Cecile Crosmun and by two brothers, Bernard Mayer and Robert Mayer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster.
