Roberta S. (Muzzy) Landry

ATHOL - Roberta S. (Muzzy) Landry, 79 of Athol, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at UMASS Medical, Worcester. Roberta was born on October 29, 1938 in Gardner, the daughter of the late John Muzzy Jr. and the late Stella (Hlasny) Muzzy. She grew up in Athol and graduated from Maria Assumpta Academy in Petersham in 1956. She received her Associates degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. She was a teller for the First National Bank in Athol. Roberta was a member of St, Francis of Assisi Church in Athol and a former member of the Petersham Curling Club. She enjoyed tag sales, playing bingo and time spent with her family. She is survived by one son: E.J. Landry andhis wife Christine of Burlington; two daughters: Lisa Cashman of Melbourne, FL, Gigi Cowart and her husband Kevin of Melbourne, FL; one brother: John Muzzy III of Athol; one son-in-law: Richard Murcell of Orange; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Dean C. Landry, her daughter: Carla Murcell, her grandson: Shaun Murcell; her brother: Augustine Muzzy and her sister: Victoria Hillis. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, November 6 at 9:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 101 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemtery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange.
