Michael A. Bastine

ATHOL- Michael A. Bastine, 47, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester. He passed after battling a long-term illness. He was born in Athol on August 26, 1973, son of Gail P. (LaFountain) Bastine and the late Edward R. Bastine. Michael grew up in Athol. He was a talented football player and graduated in 1991. He was very well known and liked. He loved football (specifically the Patriots), Red Sox, and watching his son play sports. He cherished lifelong friendships and family barbecues. Michael was a skilled roofer, running his own business and spending years working with close friend, Daniel Pento. A genuine friend to all, he would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Trisha (Curran) Bastine; one son, Issach Bastine; three daughters, Gabriella Ojala and husband Andy, Annabella Bastine, Lillian Bastine; one brother, Joey Bastine; one grandchild, Emmett Ojala; pone half brother, Eddie Bastine Jr.; father in law, Steven Curran; mother in law, Nancy Martin and father in law, Ted; as well as several aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. There will be no services at this time.
