ATHOL – Mary (Piepol) Lamson 101, passed away on Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol. Mary was born in Athol on April 22, 1917 to Vincent Piepol and Yusifa (Dempkowska) Piepol. She lived in Athol all of her life and graduated from Athol High School. She was married to Edward Lamson, who passed in 2001. Mary was employed by the L.S. Starrett Company working in the Graduating Department and then as a secretary. She was also a proud member of the Golden Ages Club. Mary enjoyed gardening, sewing and eating out. Mary leaves her son, David Lamson of Hammonton,NJ, brother; Vincent Purple of Petersham, as well as grandson, Christopher Lamson of Hammonton, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Lamson, sisters; Ida Morris and Gladys Rider, brothers; Alec Purple and Walter Purple. A calling hour will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 10am-11am with a service following at 11am at the Higgins - O’Connor Funeral Home 146 Main St. Athol. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery.
