Margaret Baczewski

BALDWINVILLE - Margaret Baczewski, age 82, died Friday, October 7, 2016 at Heywood Hospital. Margaret was born June 30, 1934 in Templeton. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Edith (Rummrill) Cutting. Margaret grew up in Templeton and graduated from Templeton High School in 1952. She was the owner of Mrs. B's Diner and worked for various local diners and restaurants. She was also a manager/cook at Phillipston Elementary School. More recently she was employed as a special needs driver for Hardy Bus Company retiring in 1996. Margaret was a member of the Hubbardston and the Templeton Golden Ages and was past president, American Legion Auxiliary Post 373, St. Vincent de Paul Church, and the Senior Center where she enjoyed bingo & the company of friends. She and her husband were "parents and grandparents" to many. She is survived by three daughters: Marianne Callan and her husband Brian of Baldwinville, Theresa Gautreau and her husband Richard of Templeton, and Helen Alliy and her husband Scott of West Palm Beach, FL and two sons: Deacon Stanley Baczewski and his wife, Margarita, and Ted Baczewski and his wife Donna of Worcester; one sister: Marilyn Euvard of Athol, and four brothers: John Cutting of CA, Donald Cutting of NH, David Cutting of FL, and James Cutting of Phillipston; She also has nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous extended family. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Henry Baczewski, by her brothers, William and Edward "Mickey" Cutting, and her sister, Mary Davis. A special thank you to the staff at Heywood Hospital for the tender care they provided for Margaret. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude’s Hospital, 313 Washington St. #310, Newton, MA 02458, or GVNA, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440, or a charity of one's choice. The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 15 at Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St, Gardner, is directing arrangements.
