Dorilla L. (Belliveau) Brodeur

GARDNER – Dorilla L. (Belliveau) Brodeur, 88 of Gardner, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Heywood Hospital in Gardner. She was born in Fitchburg on December 24, 1928, the fourth oldest of twelve children to the late Placide Alphonse Belliveau and Marie Bella (Goguen) Belliveau. Dorilla is survived by a son: Rodney A. Brodeur and his wife Theresa of Gardner; two daughters: Nancy A. Landry and her husband Marcel of Gardner, Janice M. Brodeur of Gardner-who was also her caregiver; four grandchildren: Mandy Germaine and her companion David Hanks of Gardner, Wendy Cormier and her companion Jason Buteau of Leominster, Hailee Barrieau of Baldwinville, Vicky Germaine of Gardner; seven great grandchildren: Dylan, Ashlyn, Devin, Leeha, Austin, Edward and Ava; one brother, four sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Adrien A. Brodeur who passed away in 2012, her two daughters: Barbara A. Brodeur who passed in 1953, Donna M. Brodeur who passed in 1969; three sisters and three brothers. Dorilla volunteered at the Holy Rosary School Library for 20plus years. She was known as Mrs. B to everyone. In her earlier years, she made beautiful hand sewn quilts and she enjoyed making puzzles, plastic crafts, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, word circle puzzles, gardening and canning what she had grown. She was a great loving mom! A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish – Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemtery, Gardner. No calling hours are scheduled.
