David A. Papa

LEOMINSTER - David A. Papa, 57 of Leominster, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 29, 2021 in the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine while vacationing in his summer home in North Conway, NH. He was born in Fitchburg on August 26, 1963, the son of the late Patrick Papa, Jr. and Anna (Palmerini) Papa, David grew up in Leominster and graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in 1981. He was an Automotive Paint Specialist for many years, he also operated Dave's detail service for many years. He was a car enthusiast; he was also meticulous about landscaping and gardening and had boundless energy. He loved to tinker around his home in Leominster and his vacation home in North Conway, NH. He leaves his husband of 36 years, Brian F. Grogan; his mother Anna Papa; one sister, Cheryl Papa of Fitchburg; one brother, Robert Papa and his wife Corey of Rindge, NH; a niece, Alicia Papa; two nephews, Anthony Papa, Robert Papa, Jr. and many cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery. Leominster. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 10 am - 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
