Claire Elola

Winchendon- It is with great sadness that the family of Claire (Boucher) Elola announces her passing on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the age of 99. Claire was born August 30, 1918 in Winchendon MA. Claire was married to Francis W. Elola on July 11, 1942. She graduated from Monadnock High School in Winchendon in 1937. In 1940 she graduated from Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital Nursing program. Claire was a Night Supervisor Nurse at Baldwinville Cottages for Children in the 1940’s. She leaves behind her daughter, Claire Stroebel of Aufroth, Germany; Granddaughters, Liesha Seseika of Charlotte, NC, Debbie Lawn of Hubbardston, MA, Ursula Gurster of Steinach, Germany and Angelika Stroebel of Aufroth, Germany; grandson, John Seseika of Berlin,Germany; great grandchildren, Gregory, Krissy and Robert and three newly born great great grandchildren, Gabriel, Carter and Robert. Claire was predeceased by a son, Francis Elola Jr. Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Lamoureaux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, 105 Central Street Gardner, from 10-11:00am with a service immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at St. Jude.org. Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks, a Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St. Gardner is assisting with arrangements.
