Carol D Pace

Carol Doris Pace (nee Morin) - of Winchendon, Massachusetts, passed away Father's Day June 18, 2017, at the age of 65, in the peace of her home surrounded by family. This was her second battle with cancer. She graduated from Athol High School and was a mother of 3, Shelly Romero, husband, Daniel Romero, Kristy Pace, partner, Isaac Hasson, and Lisa Jones, husband, Ben Jones, and a grandmother of 6, Daniel Romero, Alexander Romero, Nicole Romero, Chase Jones, Rachel Romero, and Cora Jones. Carol was a long time Simplex and Tyco employee, charming all who knew her, bringing her brightness and selflessness to anyone she could. She orchestrated family parties and cookouts, inviting every family member. A Catholic and Eucharistic minister, attending mass on Sundays at Sacred Heart Church, now Annunciation Parish. She volunteered in countless school festivals and activities stretching from her daughters to her grandchildren. She attended her daughter's and their children's basketball, soccer, field hockey, and football games, along with cross country and gymnastic meets. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, her love of Christ was evident in her nature. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11 am at Holy Rosary Church 135 Nichols St. Gardner MA 01440. Burial will follow at Silver Lake Cemetery in Athol at 1 pm.
