Antena H. Kania

Antena H. (Wesockes) Kania, 94, passed away in her home on Sunday, November 4, 2018 surrounded by her family. Antena was born in Athol on July 17, 1924 to George A. and Elizabeth A. (Barkauskas) Wesockes. She grew up in Athol and married Matthew J. Kania, whom she enjoyed sixty-nine years with. Antena was previously employed by Erving Paper Mill and owned and operated Teena’s Secondhand Shop here in Athol. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Antena was predeceased by her husband, Matthew. She is survived by a son, James Kania and his wife Carol, three daughters; Sheila Graichen and her husband Alan, Elaine Haskins and her husband Martin, and Kathy Kania and her significant other Dennis Whittemore; six grandchildren: Jason Haskins and his fiancé Gloria, Amber Dinatale and her husband Charles, Matthew Haskins and his wife Brianna, Adam Graichen and his wife Allison, Kyle Kania, and Jasmine Gibbs and her husband Justin of California; two great grandchildren: Brent Haskins and his wife Samantha, and Micah Graichen.
