PLAINFIELD, CT - Roger Normandin, 78 died Friday, May 27, 2016 in the Villa Maria Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Plainfield Connecticut. He was born in Leominster on March 27, 1938 the son of Hyginne H. Normandin and Selima (Brosseau) Normandin. He attended Leominster schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Normandin worked in the printing industry. He began his career with Rand-Whitney Corporation in Leominster. From there he went to Atlantic Packaging in Norwich, Connecticut, and ended his career with Mead Westvaco Corporation in Norwich, Connecticut. He was a member of the Leominster Sportsmen’s Club, Plainfield Historical Society, Mystic Seaport Society, the Mystic Seaport Aquarium and the American Legion Post 91 in Moosup, CT. He was an avid fisherman he enjoyed camping, cars and trucks. His family was the joy of his life. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Helen M. (Gonville) Normandin; one son, Mark E. Normandin in his wife Lois of New Ipswich, New Hampshire; three daughters, Mary E. McKee and her husband Randy of Munford Tennessee, Margaret “Meg” Saucier and her husband Gary of Leominster, Michelle E. Seppi and her husband Bruce of Nashua, New Hampshire; three brothers Eugene Normandin and his wife Debbie of Townsend, James Normandin and his wife Elaine of Lunenburg, Walter Normandin and his wife Lillian of Leominster; two brothers in-law; Dante Gentile and Joseph Nault; twelve grandchildren, Melissa Seppi, Zachary Seppi, Brandy McKee, Christopher McKee, Carl McKee, Chad Mckee, Chuck McKee, Joseph Saucier, Nathan Saucier, Adam Normandin, Jessica Normandin, Amanda Normandin; five great granddaughters, Ayva, Jayda, Hannah, Haylee, Maggie and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by four brothers, Ronald Normandin, John Normandin, Emile Normandin, Adolph (Duffy) Normandin and by three sisters, Rita Gentile, Anne Muse and Janet Nault. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11 AM and St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster, MA. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 9–10:45 AM at the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster, MA. To send an online condolences please visit www.mackfamilyfh.com.
