Michael J. Verock

ORANGE - On Thursday March 1, 2018 Michael J. Verock, son of Frank and Lucy (Piragis) Verock, went home to be with the Lord. Waiting there for him are two infants and a son Jesse A. Verock. Helping him transition into heaven were his wife of fifty years, Mary L. (Sisson) Verock, daughters Ruth-Ellen and Emily Verock, and grandchildren Zoe and Joey Lehtomaki. A 1963 Athol High School graduate, Mike joined the United Stated Air Force for four years during the Vietnam era. Upon his graduation from the 49th Massachusetts State Police Training Troop he served the Commonwealth for 20 years retiring as a Sergeant. He was also a member of the Air National Guard, Army Nation Guard, A Boy Scout Troop Leader, Town Constable, Commander of the Athol American Legion, and served on many town committees. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the North Congregational Church Of New Salem, 60 Elm St New Salem, MA. The burial will be private.
