LEOMINSTER - Lucienne B. Thibeault age 94 passed away on September 28, 2016 after a brief illness at home surrounded be her loving family. She was born in Quebec, Canada on September 7, 1922 the daughter of Emile and Blanche St. Pierre and immigrated to the US in 1958 with her husband Henri and their five children settling in Leominster to build a lasting connection with this community. She held numerous distinguished titles during her long and prosperous life to include Ma, the best around, Memere (Meme) the kindest and fun loving, Matante who was always there for nieces and nephews and lastly Lucy the Avon Lady of French Hill. She is predeceased by her husband Henri, her eldest son Bernie and two great grandchildren Holli and John. Lucy has five children, Bernie (deceased) and his wife Gale of Leominster; John in charge of making sure Ma always had groceries of Gardner; Madeleine of Thompson CT whom she relied on for her medical care decisions and a daughters love; George and his wife Leslie of Norwell, MA; Claude her primary caretaker at home of Leominster. She also has 5 grandchildren, Travis and Wife Celina of San Diego and son Jacob, Nikki (Meme’s guardian angel) of Leominster, Tony of Leominster and father of Olivia; Matthew and wife Alex and daughter Alma of Leominster; and George and his wife Cassie of Marshfield, MA. Her love of family was profound and served to be the glue always. Lucienne was a fervent Catholic and was a member of St Cecilia’s parish where she totally embraced the catholic community volunteering for charity events, fund raising and religious activities. She was a member of the Ladies of St Anne for many years. She is best known for her sense of humor, her giving and ability to engage everyone without any judgment. She always had an open door. Many on French Hill will remember her as the Avon Lady a job she loved and maintained for 45 years. To this day when asked about my mom people her knew asked if she still had that beautiful smooth skin, a tribute to Avon she exclaim. One of her favorite places to vacation was York Beach Maine where she spent many summer vacations with family and friends creating lasting memories for all. Lastly, we need to share that Lucy loved animals and in her recent years had a loving kitty, Penny, who served as a companion and confidant and maintained vigil thru her final passage. Ma, Memere (Meme) will be greatly missed, she always fueled our spirits. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Cecilia’s Church, Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will be held at a later date. Calling hours will be held Friday, September 30 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
