Kathryn A. (Adams) Borkowski

GARDNER - Kathryn A. (Adams) Borkowski, 64 of Gardner, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was born in Leominster, on February 12, 1954, the daughter of the late Harold V. Adams and Muriel F. (Sargent) Broderick. Kathryn grew up in Leominster. She worked for the Gardner News and Eastwood Pines Nursing Home. She also helped many people as a freelance social worker. She enjoyed bingo, especially at the Royal Cadets in Gardner. She enjoyed horseback riding and was a member of the Royal Rangers. Kathryn donated to many charities. She leaves two daughters, Kathleen J. Taylor of Shirley, Lori L. Lawrence and her husband Lee of Winchendon; two sisters, Janet Adams of Gardner, Susan Adams-Sweeney of Ware; four brothers, Kenneth Adams of Worcester, Michael Adams of Arkansas, Steven Adams of Woburn, Lee Taylor of Connecticut; two grandchildren, Desiree and Gared Taylor both of Shirley; her mother in-law, Dorilla J. Borkowski of Gardner, a sister in-law, Linda White of Hubbardston and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 24 years, Glen E. Borkowski who passed in 2011; by a sister, Linda Adams and by a brother, Robert Fontaine. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 12:00 pm in the Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
