John Alexander Burbine

ORANGE- John Alexander Burbine, Jr., 67, of Orange, died Sunday, March 19, in his home, after an illness. He was born November 17, 1949, in Waltham, son of Ruth (White) and the late John A. Burbine, Sr. John served in the U. S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. He later was a police officer in Farmington, NH for several years. He also was a volunteer EMT, and also volunteered helping homeless veterans. He was proud to be alcohol free for 32 years and gambling free for 16 years. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He enjoyed collecting things including, antique jewelry, coins, sports memorabilia and was the former owner of Stephanie's Place Antiques in Orange. He also liked watching westerns, traveling, and writing. He loved his children and grandchildren. Besides his mother, Ruth, he leaves three sons, Chris, Brian and Alex Burbine; two daughters, Stephanie and Caroline Burbine; five grandchildren, Adam, Alexis, Logan, Jameson, and Greyson; two sisters, Candace Callahan and Cynthia Keenan. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 24, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with the funeral starting at 12:00 noon at Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange.
