Frederick E. Balicki

ATHOL- Frederick E. Balicki, 71, of Athol, died Monday, September 5, in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, after an illness. Mr. Balicki was born October 2, 1944, in Holyoke, son of the late Frederick and Ida (Cadieux) Balicki. After graduating from Holyoke Community College, he went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Western New England College. He worked as a mechanical engineer for MCI Shirley for many years before his retirement. He leaves his wife, Susan Krasin; one son, Alan Balicki and his wife, Lisa of Holyoke; two daughters, Alissa Lussier of Springfield, and Heather Nash of Chicopee; six grandchildren, Nora, Owen, Alexandra, Brendon, Olivia, and Camille; one sister, Sandra Normandine and her husband, Richard of South Hadley; several nieces and nephews.
