Elizabeth Jane Schubmehl

September 12, 1949 — November 14, 2017

LEOMINSTER – Elizabeth Jane (Fadel) Schubmehl, formerly of Lincoln, MA and Niagara Falls, NY, was lifted peacefully up to the Lord on November 14, 2017 where she will join her beloved husband Tom. Born in Niagara Falls, NY in 1949, the middle daughter of Happy and Jane ‘Bubbles’ Fadel, Elizabeth was a 1967 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She married her sweetheart, and love of her life, Thomas Joseph Schubmehl in 1969 and they began to grow their beautiful family from there. Elizabeth was a loving and supporting wife and selfless, caring mother to their five children as Tom served the United States Air Force for 24 years. She was a home care provider to a number of Air Force families during their time at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA before she began her own career serving the Air Force herself as a government contractor. Elizabeth provided program support to critical Department of Defense and Air Force capabilities such as Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System and Space Fence where she earned awards for Organizational Excellence as well as extensive recognition for her outstanding contributions. She served Hanscom-based non-profit organizations and maintained her faith and lived by one of her favorite Bible verses: Hebrews 13:2 "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." A devout Christian, Elizabeth regularly led her family in prayer and even the weekend before her passing she was reading bible verses to her grandchildren. Elizabeth was known for her extreme warmth, nurturing and welcoming nature. Anyone that she encountered was greeted with a huge hug, even when meeting her for the first time. Anyone who visited her home would never leave hungry, and would have a handful of leftovers to take home with them. Elizabeth is survived by her five children: Thomas ‘TJ’ Schubmehl and his wife Patricia (Gallagher) of Hampton, NH; Michael Schubmehl and his wife Erin (Donlan) of Ashburnham, MA; Marc Schubmehl and his wife Gayle (Segura) of Centennial, CO; Anissa Beth Schubmehl of Woburn, MA; and James ‘Josh’ Schubmehl of Grand Junction, CO. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her older brother James ‘Uncle Jimmy’ Fadel and is survived by her younger sister Theresa Marie ‘Terri’ (Fadel) Slaiman and her husband Michael of Lewiston, NY and so many other loving family members and friends. Elizabeth leaves behind her nine beautiful grandchildren, who lovingly and proudly called her their Nana, TJ and Trish’s children Brooke, Megan, twins Thomas and Kayla, and Daniel; Mike and Erin’s daughter’s Katelyn and Colleen and Josh’s sons Justin and Jameson. Elizabeth’s illness was brief and she is now joined with her loving husband, her parents, brother and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Memory Eternal.
