Dennis W. Kerylow

January 14, 1948 — May 16, 2016

ORANGE - Dennis Wayne Kerylow, 68, of 383 East River St. Orange, fell asleep in death on Monday May 16, 2016 after courageously battling cancer. His family was by his side. He was born on January 14, 1948 in Brattleboro, VT, son of the late Lois Doyle Kerylow Delsoldato and John Kerylow. He was raised with loving guidance by his late stepfather, Harry Delsoldato. He graduated from Bellows Falls High School and thereafter enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Dennis married his first love, Janice Young Kerylow in 1966. They enjoyed 50 years together. Dennis worked many jobs over the years, locally at Union Twist Drill. In 1985 he received his license as an oil burner technician and worked at Sandri Oil in Greenfield and he retired from Orange Oil Co. in 2010. In 2000 Dennis qualified for baptism as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. That's when he said 'his real life began'. After his retirement, he dedicated the majority of his time to teaching others about the Bible. Before his illness, Dennis was frequently seen on Main St. in Athol with a cart offering Bible based literature. He always had a smile on his face and a pat on the back for anyone stopping to talk. Dennis was a kind and generous man. He enjoyed sharing meals and playing games with friends and family. He also greatly enjoyed vacationing in Maine with Wally and Marie Erali. Dennis was confident in the Bible's future hope and that he will be remembered by Jehovah God. He will be missed many. Especially his family; his wife, Janice Kerylow; one son Jeremy Hutchinson and wife Tracy of Gardner; three daughters, Kelli Graves and husband Ken of Orange; Jennifer White and husband Jeff of Candler, NC; Amanda Leighton and husband Aaron of Athol. He also leaves a sister, Cassie Glendenning of Sanford, NC and four grandchildren, Zakari Graves and wife Cassandra of North Reading; Jordiana Branco and husband Neil of Wales; Bailey and Amelia Leighton of Athol. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 21 at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 185 Daniel Shays Hwy Orange, MA. The family would like to thank the GVNA Hospice program for all their help and support. Specifically, Heather Murphy, Diane Vega, John Harrington and Sarka Savoy for the compassion they showed.
