Deborah A. (LaGrasse) Garcia

ATHOL - Deborah A. (LaGrasse) Garcia, 58, of 116 High Knob Road, Athol, died Thursday, May 25, 2017 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol. She was born in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, on August 31, 1958, the daughter of the late Michael LaGrasse and Gerthild (Klug) LaGrasse. Debbie is a graduate of Merrimack College. She received an award from the NH Senate, "Who's Who among American High School Students". She was the manager at Larry's Variety until the fall of 2014, Assistant Manager at Ocean State Job Lot and most recently worked in the fruit prepping unit of Market Basket in Athol. She enjoyed lighthouses and trips to the beach. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She was passionate about reading, was a huge Elvis fan and loved spending time with her family and friends. She leaves her wife of 14 years, Margery Garcia; her mother: Gerthild LaGrasse of AZ; two dogs: Isabella and Sadie; one sister, Linda Nault of NH; one brother: Frederick LaGrasse of AZ; a step-sister, Angela Antilla of AZ; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Zenon and Margarita Garcia of Puerto Rico; a brother-in-law, Xavier Garcia and his wife, Nelly of Puerto Rico; nephews; Frederick LaGrasse Jr and Joziah Bulloch, nieces; Amanda LaGrasse and Paige LaGrasse, Nellitxa Garcia and Nelyanis Garcia. Close friends who are considered family members, Kendra Cullen, Bob and Carol Clegg, Tina Fink, John and Dawn Maroni, Louie and BeLinda Richards. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1, at 8:00 PM in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA.
