Betty Ann (Brion) Springer

ATHOL - Betty Ann (Brion) Springer, 85 of 119 Townsend Road, Athol, died Saturday, August 19, 2017 at home. She was born in Winchendon, MA, on March 13, 1932, the daughter of the late Edmond and the late Emma (Martin) Brion. Betty Ann attended Athol High School and graduated with the Class of 1950. She was a secretary for 24 years, employed by L.S.Starrett Company and retired in 1995. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls – Order of the Eastern Star and was its treasurer for 50 years. She leaves two daughters: Debra Ellis of Athol, Cynthia Barrett of Orange; one son: Brion Barrett and his wife Angela of Athol; two grandchildren: Nicole Carier and Benjamin Ellis; one great granddaughter: Emma Stone. She was predeceased by her first husband of 28 years: Earl Barrett in 1983 and her second husband of 12 years: Gordon Springer in 2007. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Silver Lake St., Athol. A calling hour will be held Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the funeral Home.
